I  was so busy with my final viva preparations and there wasn't any new recipe to post at bakingdelight. Since most of my baking endeavours come out to be perfect horrors,  I was reluctant to bake anything myself during my exam. But by chance I found a very nice and easy Oat Meal Cookies recipe and I thought may be nature wants me to bake these cookies......!

...........when the cookies came out of my tiny mini oven, they weren't looking like oatmeal cookies in any way, I got so disappointed and started wondering what would I now post at bakingdelight ? if I would have posted the recipe with the picture of those cookies no one was going to bake them...but suddenly it came to my mind, no matter if I was not going to have some good photographs to post with the recipe but atleast I got a post for this forum, Baking Horrors, atleast I could share with all of you about this "one more" horror experience of my baking trials !

I believe I must not blame my oven for this baking horror, actually I changed the quantity of oeatmeal in the recipe. Since  I'm not any big fan of oatmeal, I reduced it by half. The dough turned out a bit runny and sticky due to which cookies got spread way too much during their cooking time. So I beleive you must not change the recipe unless you are sure of the results, your change may produce !

I couldnot see the origional snapshot of your first oatmeal cookies... however it doesnot matter if we make such little mistakes once in a while. After all, we are "Home Bakers".
